Mombasa-based rapper Cannibal has taken a swipe at fellow artiste Ally B, over claims he was rigged out in the just concluded general election.
This comes after Ali Khamisi Mwaliguli (Ally B) who ran on a Jubilee Party ticket, claimed that the Junda MCA seat was rigged in favour of his rival.Ally B was floored by Musumba Raphael Bwire of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).The artiste has insisted that the results did not reflect the will of the people. However, Cannibal has dismissed Ally B’s claims, terming his complainants petty. “No, no, no! I don’t believe Ally B was rigged out. He just didn’t have the connection with the people. Alishindwa kiroho safi (he was beaten fair and square),” said Cannibal, as quoted by Nairobi News.Cannibal had declared interest in the Mtopanga MCA seat but shelved his political dream after losing during the ODM Party nominations that were held in April, this year. Other celebrities who vied for elective positions in the August 8 polls include former KTN investigative journalist Mohammed Ali who clinched the Nyali MP seat and musician Charles Njagua alias Jaguar, who won the Starehe MP seat.
