Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's Chief of Staff Caroli Omondi has been demanded to be given a direct nomination by the Orange Party in his quest to unseat Suba MP John Mbadi.
According to Omondi, his support for the Raila Odinga-led party is unwavering and that it is high time his loyalty be rewarded through a direct nomination.
"I have never paid any allegiance to any party apart from ODM, hence, this time round, it's my chance to win the seat," Omondi was quoted by the Star.
Omondi popularly referred to as 'Dangote' by supporters due to his deep pockets says he did not ditch the party even after he was 'rigged out' in favor of Moses Kajwang during Homa Bay county Senatorial by-elections in 2015.
"I remained steadfast even though the nomination was not credible," he added.
Mbadi, the ODM party chairman, has always maintained that he is going to defend the seat pegged on his development record.
The whole scenario must be giving Mr Odinga sleepless nights as the duo are regarded his right-hand men.
