A Mombasa court on Friday withdrew a case against two sons of murdered drug baron Ibrahim Akasha where they were accused with another person of Indian nationality.

Ibrahim Akasha, Baktash Akasha and Vijaygiri Goswami had earlier been charged with causing disorder and fighting in public.

However, Senior Principal Magistrate Henry Nyakweba has withdrawn the charges after an application made by Senior Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions Alexander Muteti.

The two sons were extradited to the United States together with a Mr Gulam Hussein earlier in January to face trial over narcotic trafficking offences.
