This was the second time that the officers were being reprieved.

The high court had earlier directed David Mongeri, who is their lawyer to make sure that he prepares an inter parties hearing after declining his bid to have the pleas suspended.

Lady Justice Jane Mulwa directed Mongeri to ensure that he serves the EACC and also the DPP with the application of the hearing.

On Wednesday, Resident Magistrate Loice Kamingo postponed the pleas after Mongeri notified the court that the proceedings that are related to the case were ongoing at the high court.

"I am requesting this court to defer the pleas until an application that is challenging the validity of the charges is concluded," said Mongeri.

The court extended the 10 officers’ bond terms allowing them to take their pleas on November 27th.
