Palm Sunday is usually celebrated once a year in the calendar of Catholics to remember the triumph entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.

Victoria Masinde, one of the faithfuls said it is important to remember the history of Jesus through celebrating Palm Sunday because it helps understand just how Jesus passed through problems before being crucified.

This is just a replica of what happens today. Jesus was well welcomed into Jerusalem but few days afterwards, he was crucified by people who had warmly welcomed him earlier. We witness some of these actions in real life. Sometimes, people can welcome you and treat you very well but after sometimes, these people turn against you.

David Omollo, another faithfuls also said the palms are sprinkled with blessed water. He said he will carry the palm at home because he believes he has carried his blessings. If the palm dries up, he says he burns it to keep the blessed ashes.

The Catholics urged other churches to celebrate the palm Sundays too.
