Deputy President William Ruto has called for an end to cattle rustling activities along the Borabu-Sotik border in Nyamira and Bomet Counties.
Mr Ruto asked Nyamira and Bomet County Commissioners among other leaders to work together and ensure the vice is eradicated.
He told residents in the area to focus their energies on education as the only way to fight poverty and ignorance, noting that cattle theft has no room in the 21st century.
“It is impressive that acts of cattle thefts have drastically reduced in this region but we want it eradicated once and for all,” said Mr Ruto.
He further asked residents to shun stock theft business as it is backward and primitive, and instead venture into legal profitable business.
