They say the reckless remarks made by his Jubilee elect leaders will divide Kenyans, which might force some members to decamp the coalition and weaken his re-election bid.

Julius Gathua,a political analyst said Kiambu Governor William Kabogo's remarks that DP Ruto should not expect automatic support from central in his 2022 presidential bid are divisive .

He further added that the remarks may compel Rift Valley leaders who support the DP to lure their people to decamp Jubilee, which may be a big blow to President Uhuru.

“H.E Uhuru Kenyatta should caution his top Jubilee leaders to embrace unity and avoid reckless talking. For instance Kiambu Governor's remarks of telling the DP to never be sure of a Central support in his 2022 president bid are divisive,” he added.

“The DP is from the vote-rich Rift-Valley and if its leaders withdraw their support for Jubilee, President Uhuru will be in trouble,” said Gathua.

Johnson Kiprotich, a political activist also denounced Gathundu South's MP Moses Kuria remarks that opposition leader Raila Odinga should be 'assassinated' as 'reckless' and meant to divide Kenyans.

"Our President needs to be keen on his powerful leaders. Statements made by Moses Kuria calling for assassination of opposition leader Raila Odinga are reckless and meant to divide Kenyans," Kiprotich said.
