Kigo who was speaking in his Gatundu North Constituency allayed fears that CDF had come to an end following the court ruling last week.

"People should not be worried at all. What the court said is that CDF Act as it is now is not in line with the constitution and we need to amend it to make it constitutional," said Njenga.

The MP said that the National Assembly will meet on Thursday to start the process of amending the Act to make it constitutional.

Njenga further noted that CDF allocation need even to be increased to enable various stalled projects to be completed and new ones initiated.

"We have various community projects that need more money and we cannot even be talking of dissolving the CDF," he said.
