All students from Muhoroni constituency who will be admitted to national schools following the release of KCPE results will have all their school fees paid up by the constituency’s CDF kitty. Muhoroni MP Onyango Koyoo said he will use the Constituency Development Fund to pay for their school fees. Koyoo said that last year CDF paid up fees for the students who were admitted in the national schools and the payment will cover the four years in secondary school. “For the next four years in secondary school, CDF will pay for their school fees, there is now a reason to perform and perform well,” said Koyoo. He said that what they have begun will be the trend every year as a way of supporting education in the constituency. Speaking in Kisumu on Friday, the MP said that every student who will be admitted in any national school should not be worried about fees. Last year, Koyoo met all students who joined national schools who are being supported by CDF at Chemelil where he promised to support more children. He said his aim is to ensure any bright student is not denied any chance to further his or her education due to lack of school fees. Koyoo noted that in the next five years, Muhoroni constituency shall have produced doctors, engineers amongst other professionals. “I am putting a strong foundation for this constituency and there will be no shortage in finding professionals in this constituency,” he said.
