Kiambu County Roads Executive (CeC) Njeri Mburu has announced plans to rehabilitate and refurbish all bus terminuses in the county.

Mburu who addressed the media at her Thika office on Monday said that the county government has set aside adequate funds for the exercises.

She intimated that a plan to rehabilitate the terminus will be launched soon with the main aim of reducing traffic congestion and ensuring order among commuters and Public Service Vehicle operators.

“The Kiambu government has set aside enough money to refurbish all bus and matatu terminuses,” said Mburu.

Mburu further revealed the county government’s plans to renovate and repair all roads connecting the county.

She stated that the county has partnered with some private investors to repair roads and other infrastructure.

Mburu added that improving infrastructure will go a long way in propelling the development agenda in the Kiambu County.

On the same note, CeC Mburu warned residents against vandalism public property saying that it is costing the county huge money.

She observed that the money being used to repair vandalised road signs and street lights could have been otherwise channeled to other development projects which would benefit the area residents.

The CeC warned that the county will not hesitate to action against vandalises of public property.
