Mombasa Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works CeC Taufiq Balala visited and inspected the Mombasa County Fire Station headquarters in Mwembe Tayari, Mvita Sub County.

During his tour he presented new mattress that were donated by well-wishers and sponsors for the fire officers who work on a 24-hour basis. He also opened up new overnight rest rooms and inspected the new officers' mess and lounge on Monday. 

A number of issues were discussed during the impromptu visit including efficient and better staff providence. 

Balala affirmed his department's commitment to ensure the officers are comfortable and well motivated.
