Uasin Gishu County Health Services CeC Nominee Everlyne Rotich has promised to tackle regular strikes that have been a common phenomenon since devolution came in place.

Speaking when she appeared before the County Assembly Committee on appointment for vetting on Thursday, Rotich said she would always reach out to the county Union officials and try to look for the best solution to avert strikes.

"I will always be in constant communication with my staff's leadership as I believe this will enable me to know their issues and solve them way before culminating into an industrial action. When need be, I would allow labor experts to handle labor issues that might be beyond me," she said.

The CeC nominee further pledged to put more emphasis on improvement of the quality of health care services to the locals in the county."If given this job I will work to make this county a magnet in health services across the county," she noted.
