Kisumu county youths have challenged Tourism CeC Dr Rose Kisia to construct a talent academy to promote local talent in the region.
The youths challenged the CeC to promote local talent by allocating funds to construct a modern academy. They asked the CeC to stop neglecting youth’s talents and instead see how it can be nurtured to see youths get fully empowered.
Nominated MCA Lydia Odhiambo challenged the CeC to allocate funds to construct a modern academy for youth’s talent search, saying by constructing a talent academy, youths could be empowered. She asked the youths to stand firm in their talents amidst challenges they encounter.
“Kisumu region lacks a talent search academy. The CeC should allocate funds towards constructing an academy to promote the local talent,” said Odhiambo
Alive Youth Today chairperson Robert Otieno emphasised on the needs for the academy saying it would keep youths engaged.
Otieno challenged youths not to sit on their talents despite challenges.
