Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has volunteered to send fans to the Harambee Stars final match in Machakos.

Stars will be playing host to underdogs Heroes team of Zanzibar.

Apart from the match being free to all fans courtesy of Machakos governor Alfred Mutua's subsidy, Sonko will step in to provide free transport from Nairobi to Machakos.

In a tweet, the governor reached out to all fans to come out in large numbers to cheer the team.

“Free transport to and from Machakos," he said.

"If you want to go cheer our national soccer team "THE HARAMBEE STARS" as they play ZANZIBAR in the CECAFA finals, be at Shell petrol station, Nyayo Stadium, at 1 PM,” the governor said.
