Outgoing and incoming Uasin Gishu County Executive Committee Members (CeCs) have begun visiting various projects some of which are completed and others are in progress.

This is what the CeCs team leader Eng. Gideon Birir of Roads and Transport say is to familiarize the incoming CeCs with all the county projects.

Speaking during a visit to various projects in Turbo and Kapseret sub-counties on Tuesday, Eng. Birir also noted that the familiarization will help enhance smooth transition.

"The exercise is also a way of ushering them into service despite the fact that they haven't been sworn into office," he said.

The CeCs will on Wednesday wrap up visit on the projects in Kesses and Ainabkoi sub-counties.

After they were approved by the County Assembly, the incoming CeCs are awaiting formal appointment by governor Jackson Mandago followed by their swearing in.

Mandago sacked all the Cabinet he served with in this first term in office retaining only two CeCs, Eng. Birir in the Roads docket and Environment CeC Mary Njogu.
