[Photo|Eddy Illah]Celebrations rocked Kisumu city streets after High Court upheld the election of County Woman Representative Rosa Buyu on Thursday morning.Petitioner, Grace Akumu had moved to court to challenge the ODM lawmaker's August 8, 2017 win.Justice Thripsisa Cherere in her ruling, said Akumu's petition lacked merit and that Buyu was validly elected. She was then directed to pay costs amounting to Sh4 million to the respondents - Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the Returning Officer and the woman representative.Flanked by several county leaders led by Deputy Governor Dr Ochieng Owili, Buyu took to streets with supporters chanting victory songs.Below are some of the courtesy photos during the celebrations.
