Gor Mahia FC being crowned by Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang' Nyong'o, November 18, 2017' [Photo|Anyang Nyong'o]Gor Mahia FC has been crowned the 2017 SportPesa Premier League Champions.The team has made history as it has now won the league a record of 16 times.The team received its trophy from Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang' Nyong'o in a colourful ceremony shortly after completing its match with Sony Sugar Saturday in Kisumu.The teams scored 2-2, giving Gor victory at Moi Stadium.Nyong'o watched the match alongside his Homa Bay counterpart Cyprian Awiti and Kisumu Senator Fred Outa.Celebrations later rocked Kisumu city streets as fans and players celebrated the win, paralysing normal businesses.
