Nakuru town burst into celebrations Tuesday evening moments after local media beamed news of Deputy President William Ruto and Joshua Sang acquittal at the international Criminal Court.
Jubilant supporters poured to the streets with songs and dance to welcome the court's decision.
"We are happy our DP is free at last. Now he can join the president in running the nation," Jacob Kimani said.
At the same time, the President announced Nakuru as the venue for their thanksgiving party.
