Trade, tourism, Industrialisation and wildlife cabinet executive Anne Njenga has promised full support to the Karsen Ramji and Sons Company as part of the county government’s commitment in inviting more investment opportunities.

Addressing the press in her office on Thursday after hosting the company’s managing director and a group of engineers, she expressed confidence that Ramji and Sons was among the many external investors that have shown interest in Nakuru.

“Our talks have been very successful, the company is in the process of setting up a processing plant which will be a major boost to our county’s stride towards economic stability as we try to make a statement on the East and Central market as an investment destination,” she said.

According to the CeC, youth in Nakuru’s Bahati area will be the biggest beneficiaries after the manager promised to incorporate manpower with the necessary skill and expertise knowledge from the area in their operations.

“Such projects are a positive indicator in the fight against joblessness among the youth. Our young people will be absorbed in different capacities once the company becomes operational,” she assured.

The engineers were in Nakuru for site mapping as the company is set for ground breaking at Engashura, Bahati constituency.

Karsen Ramji and Sons is a cement manufacturing company with its head office in Kitengela, Kajiado County but has outlets across East Africa to necessitate its operations.
