Nyamira women representative Alice Chae has asked her voters to keep faith in her as she works towards delivering in the time before next year's general elections.
Speaking over the weekend at Nyakemincha Catholic Church where she attended a funds drive, Chae said that she has only been allocated funds and that she will ensure they are distributed to assist youth and women groups respectively.
"Nyamira people please give us time, I will ensure you see the reason you voted me in, we (women reps) are sidelined with no kitty from the government, but at least we have something for you people and I will ensure before we go to elections my value will be felt," said Chae.
However, Chae faced attacks from close opponents in the names of Jerusha Momanyi and Dr Joy Kerubo, who are both vying for the same seat, whom accused her of sleeping on the job.
"Retire honourably, for the time you were given has elapsed and we have not seen any development so far through your office, we have never seen you since we elected you,” said Momanyi.
The incumbent women rep may have a hard time defending her seat, which is said to attract many ladies from the area.
