The exercise will target village schools, both primary and secondary, and will be issued at the sub-county level in whole month of July.

Mrs Chae on a phone conversation confirmed procurement of the sanitary pads and said a number of them had been transported to the county awaiting delivery.

“I am keen to have our girls from vulnerable families stay in school during the menstruation days. We don’t want them to be affected in any manner and my office is committed to clear the mess,” she said.

“We have already identified the beneficiaries and the exercise will commence this month of July at the sub county level for easy delivery,” she added.

She also said her office will capitalise on the exercise to execute motivational talks using various guidance and counselling groups and other professionals to promote good behaviour among teenagers.

“I had promised to have motivational talks in our schools and I that will be the ideal time to reach our young people through various guidance and counseling groups. We must promote ethics amongst these young people especially the time most of schools are going on strike,” she said.
