The KNCCI Chairman, Kiambu County chapter Thinguri Warwathe has said that the Finance Act that was passed by Kiambu County Assembly last year is a draconian legislation depriving Kiambu people.

“It is a shame that we have to go to court because the county government cannot involve the stakeholders on matters affecting the people,” Thunguri said.

He added that their attempt to attract investors to Kiambu County is being frustrated by the county government.

“We have brought investors from Nigeria, Germany and even the County government was part of the USA trip to tap investors. But when they come they frustrate them through bad legislations like these one,” he said in Kiambu yesterday.

Thunguri urged the County government to review the Finance Act saying the one in place is unacceptable.

“Let's dialogue this year and avoid confrontations,” he said.
