Speaking in Kabete Town yesterday, Wamatangi challenged the youth saying that they have a reasonability to promote peace. He stated that for any development to be realised, peace is important and that young people should be part of that.

“Our young people should take part in campaigns aimed at preaching peace and unity across Kiambu,” he said.

The Senator said that it is time for the youth to stand up and take part in meaningful activities. He discouraged the youths against taking part in crime saying it will mess up their future.

Wamatangi further challenged those (youths) to seek government funds and start meaningful business ventures.

At the same time, the senator cautioned youths against leaders who might want to use them to cause violence or trouble ahead of Kabete by-election slated for May 4.

He asked the youths to support leaders who have a vision for them and shun those agitating for violence.
