According to the Jubilee MP, police officers are yet to end the making and selling of the illicit liquor in the county.

"Our youths in deep villages are unproductive because most of their time has been taken by chang'aa.

"The youths are always interested in consuming chang'aa at brewing dens which police officers are yet to reach. It is time locals and members of the clergy to step up efforts to ensure illegal businesses in the county comes to an end," she noted.

Jerusha added that she is committed to ensure all women, youths and people living with disabilities are empowered through the Affirmative action funds.

She challenged local leaders to stop buying chang'aa for youths so that they can criticize leaders who are in office.

"It is sad that some people are buying the illicit liquor for our youths to get political support. The security team should be on high alert to arrest any local leader found inciting and buying chang'aa for the youths to criticize the leaders who are in office," said the MP.
