The entry of women in the male dominated field of politics has shifted the political situation in the Coast region.
The increase in the number of female aspirants eying different elective positions in the forthcoming general polls is a clear indicator of change.Coast counties have continued to lag behind when it comes to matters development due to poor leadership, but women in this region have said enough is enough. Mombasa County Deputy Governor Hazel Katana is among the women who have decided to take the bull by its horns.
