According to council patron Gilbert Kabage, there are many clauses in the constitution that if not changed can plunge the country into a serious constitutional crisis.

“The constitution is good but there are many clauses in the constitution that if not changed can plunge the country into a serious constitutional crisis,” he said.

Kabage added that the president was right in raising concerns over the manner in which the Supreme Court judgment was delivered adding that the two judges who read dissenting opinions gave critical reasons as to why the nullification of the presidential election was uncalled for.

Kabage called on Kenyans to maintain peace.

“What we want is peace and we are calling on the IEBC chair  Wafula Chebukati to provide directional leadership. Do not be swayed away by political parties and seem to make decisions that will lead us in crisis,” he said.
