Kitui rural MP Charles Nyamai  has said that he is yet to decided on which gubernatorial aspirant he will back in the August general elections.

Nyamai, who was campaigning for Musila before he lost during nominations to Malombe, said that no candidate has approached him for support. He also said that he is going to focus on his campaigns but he is likely to change his mind if anyone asks him to do so ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

“That is my position as for now, however, it could change if any governor candidate approaches me for support,” he said, as quoted by Star.

The law maker is torn between Malombe and Musila since he has to back a Wiper candidate as per the party interests. The Kitui governorship is expected to be a battle of titans after the trio expressed their interests in the seat. The incumbent Dr. Julius Malombe is banking on his performance scoreboard to retain his seat in August.

Musila has also exuded confidence that he is the people choice even after losing during nominations.

The case is not different with Former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu who has reunited with former vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and pledged to change the lives of the residents if elected.
