The Kenyan 8-4-4 system needs great change to overcome all the challenges facing the young generation who are currently pursuing education.
If this can happen then the education sector, as well as, that of the economy would really shoot up.
The concern should be held with all stakeholders and departments in charge of education in the country. The cabinet secretary should first of all change the year’s format of each level of education as well as the content taught at each level. It is right to say that most of the things taught under the Kenyan system rarely help anyone in the outside world.
Uganda, our neighbouring countries are pursuing different education systems, unlike Kenya. The developed countries use better ways of education systems to gain and benefit everyone who commences every structure of study they prefer and with the high quality of education offered, every student can specialise in a field for his future, thus, creating room for self-employment.
The format of education in Kenya needs to be changed to a simpler format to help students just become better in what they aspire to choose as a profession.
If you have noticed, you will realise a university graduate in Kenya cannot invent any useful thing to the society and the Kenya government should change this by encouraging practical ideologies to help young generators in every field of their talent but no theoretically minded.
Kenya needs help in its education sector to acknowledge future generations to build our Kenyan heroes of tomorrow.
