A single thought of changing the sitting position in the ill-fated bus at Salgaa saved the life of Karen Adhiambo.
Speakng to the Nation, Adhiambo said she and her sister Sharon Angira were aboard the ill-fated Modern Coast bus.
The two were travelling from Mombasa to Busia, when they reached Nakuru, she switched seats to allow her sister catch a nap.
“When we got to Nakuru, Sharon said she was sleepy so we switched seats,” she said.
Little did she know that that single move was to save her life.
“I saw Sharon lying on the floor of the bus with an arm missing. Someone else was on top of her,” Adhiambo said.
Her sister sitting position had been badly rammed into by the truck.
