Nakuru West MP Samuel Arama wants the county government to allocate more funds to projects that will directly benfit the people.

The MP said that more money should be channelled to basic areas that benfits the people directly.

Speaking to reporters when he toured the constituency on Friday, the MP said that the county has enough money that should be usd on development.

He stated that Nakuru people are in need of important services like medical-care, security, education and access to clean drinking water.

“Nakuru county government through the leadership of Governor Kinuthia Mbugua should channel more money to development,” said Arama.

The MP said that the main idea of devolution was to ensure that government services are decentralized.

He said that governors should make use of devolution be making sure that the people get quality and affordable services.

Arama also asked the county government to involve the women and young people in development.

He said that involving young people in county activities will help to address the issue of uneployment and further fight poverty and crime.

Arama assured Nakuru West residents that he is on track in terms of ensuring that they get services.

The MP askd them to stay away from leaders who would want to divide them on tribal and ethnical  lines .
