Kisumu residents have been urged to channel some of the problems facing them in the county to the ward administrators.
County Governor Jack Ranguma said that the ward administrators are representing him at the ward level, and there was no need for people to flock his office every day to see him.
He added that those ward representatives are his eyes on the ground, and urged the locals to pass any information that is meant for him to those officers.
“Do not come to my office, channel your concerns to the ward administrators and even the ward representatives, they represent me,” said Ranguma.
Speaking in Kisumu, Ranguma said he is ready to step out and work for the people this year, and will limit staying in the office.
“If you don’t find me in office this year, know that I am in the village working, meeting the people and inspecting the works, so let us meet there,” he said.
Ranguma further warned medical officers in the county who are not ready to serve the public to seek transfer or resign.
He said some medical doctors are taking too long to attend to patients, without caring about their suffering.
‘It is very disturbing that in the middle of the night, I receive phone calls that doctors are nowhere to attend to patients,” he said.
Ranguma added that his government will narrow down to the officers who are lazing on their jobs and have them expelled from work.
