Police in the coastal city were forced to fire in the air to disperse supporters of ODM politician Said Abdalla.

Said’s supporters are reported to have protested the ruling, causing chaos at the court.

Said, popularly known as Saido, lost to Moha in the August polls.

In her ruling, Justice Lydia Achode dismissed the petition against the former investigative journalist, citing lack of evidence.

The petitioner, Daniel Omondi, has been ordered to pay Sh7 million in costs.
