Enraged locals of Kisumu West Ward have taken to the streets to demonstrate over the alleged kidnapping of their MCA, Mr Paul Odhiambo Okiri, alias Minega.

The incident is said to have happened last night, with the locals choosing to burn tyres and even stone vehicles along the busy Kisumu-Busia road.

According to the Standard, the MCA is believed to have been kidnapped on Thursday night, and his car was found abandoned near his gate.

Police have rushed to the scene to contain the situation.
