There was drama in Kisii town early on Monday after the untimely death of a street kid.

Halima, as they referred to her, died as a result of Pneumonia.

Following her death, the street kids took to the streets demanding that they should be assisted to arrange and perform burial ceremony.

They accused the county government of neglecting them and not recognising them as human beings in the county. 

"We are tired of being neglected by the county government since we are only street kids," said one of them.

After an hour of serious arguments, they finally decided to purchase a coffin and escort their beloved fellow home using two of Kisii Central ward MCA Wilfred Monyenye’s cars to ferry the body.
