Criminal charges against former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru have been dropped over any involvement in the Jubilee party primaries.

Wanjiru had been charged with causing disturbance.

He also faced charges of malicious damage to property.

The politician was seeking the Jubilee ticket for the Nairobi governor seat during the April primaries.

Milimani chief magistrate Francis Andanyi acquitted Wanjiru on Monday after after senior assistant DPP Daniel Karur told the court parties in the case amicably resolved to settle it out of court.
