Cheap structures in Kisii and Nyamira towns have increased the number of underage prostitution as they can be able to pay rent and continue with their business.
According to Stellah Osoro, founder of Angaza foundation that was formed to rescue under age girls from Kisii and Nyamira counties from the streets also a psychologist she has said that cheap structures has lead to the increased number of underage prostitution.
Osoro who was speaking to this writer on Tuesday at Kisii town says that the girls are able to pay rent to this cheap structure to continue with their business as they can afford the little to pay cheap structures.
“According to my observation, there is many cheap structures in our counties that has participated to the increase of this girls to the streets something needs to be addressed,” said Osoro.
She added that this girls can be able to pay let simply because one structure can be paid up to 100 shilling something which is cheap for them.
Therefore he has appealed to all stakeholders to come together and set up measures in place which can help to end this menace to save young girls from streets.
