There was drama in Kisumu's Manyatta estate on Mondy after a middle aged man was found harvesting honey from another man’s comb.
The middle aged man who is said to be a bachelor was rumored to be having an affair with his neighbour’s wife whose husband operates a business in Eldoret town.
The neighbors noted that they became suspicious after the man named George would be seen very early in the morning leaving from the neighbor's home.
“George has always been visiting Linda(the neighbor's wife), but we never suspected anything fishy as he always left at around 8pm after watching news. One day, of us (Samuel) spotted him coming from her house at around 4am in the morning and rumors started spreading about the illicit affair and eventually got to Gilbert (Linda's husband),” Millicent Onyango, a neighbor explained.,
Gilbert upon learning of the incident set up a trap with one of the neighbors who was assigned to check whether George would show up.
The trap was successful as George was caught hiding under the bed after which he was flushed out and beaten by the angry neighbors who were awoken by the drama.
Defending himself, George blamed his mess on the weather stating that it is very cold and not conducive for one to sleep alone.
“Please don’t kill me, it was cold and I decided to remain for the night. I swear this is the first time I have ever stayed up here,” lamented George as stated by neighbors.
Speaking after the incident, Gilbert noted that he was to blame for introducing George to his family.
“I housed George without even thinking about the consequences of letting him get used to my house in an event when I am not around. I even regret having brought him to this plot in the first place,” he said.
