Ex – IEBC commissioner Roselyn Akombe has sensationally claimed that chairman Wafula Chebukati had raised questions about the controversial electronic servers during the August 8th elections.

In yet another shocking revelation, Akombe says IEBC chief Ezra Chiloba was responsible for bungled August elections which were annulled by the Supreme Court.

“Chiloba and his team mislead commissioners about what was happening with servers,” said Akombe, in an interview with the Sunday Nation.

She resigned from the commission in a move that left the nation shocked given her influential role in terms of preparations and logistics ahead of October polls, citing external interference and death threats.

Before the announcement of results, she says, Chebukati raised a number of questions and was not ‘sure’ of the final outcome of the results.

“Even the chairman was suspicious and he kept asking about the servers. He was not sure of the final outcome but had to announce due to pressure. He had concluded that something was not working.”

In their attempt to send Chiloba packing, she adds, a section of commissioners voted down the chairman and her at the plenary meeting.
