Former Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba has blamed IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati for exposing wrangles in his team to the public.

The former ODM party secretary general said Chebukati should abandon the drama he is currently engaged in with politicians and focus his energies on conducting a free, fair and credible poll.“Chebukati has opened up his institution as fodder for politicians. He should leave politicians alone and start conveying the institution’s sentiments and not his own sentiments,” he said during an interview on KTN.

Ababu remarks come after IEBC officials held a crucial meeting in Naivasha on Sunday to solve the wrangles that may impede the holding of a transparent election on October 17.

All commissioners, Chief Executive Ezra Chiloba and members of the secretariat, specifically departmental heads attended the meeting.

IEBC came on the spotlight over the differences of mistrust, sabotage and sharp divisions among the commissioners and the secretariat.
