IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati on Thursday issued a new demand to National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking after a joint meeting between NASA,Jubilee and IEBC aborted, Chebukati said that in future, presidential candidates should attend meeting with the election body in person.

"Next time we want the principals to come in person. We don't want generals to cause sideshows here ahead of the election...we must meet sooner rather than later," he stated.

Addressing the press, Chebukati maintained that the electoral body is open for engagement with the presidential  candidates anytime.

"IEBC doors are open to engaging anyone. Hopefully, they will reconsider and come back to us. We will not get tired of engaging parties," he said.

NASA stormed out of the Thursday meeting after raising concerns over Jubilee’s move to amend the election laws through parliament.
