Led by leader Raila Odinga, the National Super Alliance (Nasa) has been raising concerns that the Jubilee government was tempering with the exercise by ensuring duplicate registration of voters, to rig in the August 8, polls.

However, Kindiki warned the Opposition against discrediting the electoral agency (IEBC), saying its new chairman, Wafula Chebukati, was an ODM (Opposition) allied person.

He said Chebukati once vied for a political seat in his Trans Nzoia home County, through an ODM party ticket, and so he was an Opposition person.

“They hould not be complaining that Jubilee is already rigging elections by registering duplicate voters. They should respect IEBC because Chebukati was there man. He vied through an ODM ticket in Trans Nzoia in the last elections,’’ said Kindiki.

He added: “How come Jubilee is using him to corrupt the voter registration exercise yet he is there man?’’

The Jubilee allied (Tharaka Nithi County) senator warned Nasa against tainting IEBC and Jubilee’s name, saying they should help find solutions instead of complaints and accusations.

Nasa wants proper auditing of the IEBC voter registration following concerns of possible ghost voters.
