IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and the two remaining commissioners Mr Boya Molu, and Abdi Guliye have skipped summons by the National assembly to appear before the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee on Wednesday.
According to Chebukati, they could not attend the summons before they were currently conducting two by-elections in Konondo Kwale county and in Western Kenya.
Mr William Cheptumo who is the Baringo North MP and chairman of the committee said they received a letter from IEBC regarding their inability to attend and said they were satisfied by it.
However, Mr Cheptuo said they were not keen on pushing for the resignation of Chebukati and the two commissioners.
"Those who resigned, I believe, did so on their own motion. The remaining commissioners are dully appointed in the framework of the law. Our concern is not on the resignation of the remaining," said Cheptumo.
Chebukati and the two commissioners have stated that they will not resign even after their security was withdrawn on Tuesday, other unconfirmed reports stated that the three have vowed not to resign unless they are paid Sh220 million as part of send-off package.
