IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati could fall victim in the ongoing peace deal between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his political nemesis Raila Odinga.
In a detailed article on Tuesday, ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire said the peace deal could only make sense if an election is held by August this year.
According to the ex-Kitutu Masaba MP, the fresh poll, will only be administered by international reputable organisations.
"To avoid a repeat of past mischief, the elections should be organised, funded , executed and supervised by the UN, EU and African Union," he wrote.
Bosire, a chief campaigner for NASA in Gusii, added: "The IEBC and other support institutions as currently constituted, are culprits in the electoral injustice and should keep off."
While details between Uhuru and Raila's peace deal remain scanty, sources say that IEBC could be reconstituted by kicking out all commissioners in favour of only one.
Although holding of another poll could be impossible, Bosire maintains it must happen within the next four months.
