[Photo|IEBC]A letter from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), after NASA withdrew its candidature, has raised questions from a section of leaders and Kenyans. The letter, was released, Wednesday evening, after the High Court ruled that there is no reason as to why August 8 presidential election candidates should not be included in a fresh presidential election, as ordered by the Supreme Court, during nullification of the past poll.IEBC said NASA's Raila Odinga, had not officially withdrawn, and that all the eight candidates, will be participating in the election. After seeing the letter, the political leaders have wondered why it was not signed by the chairman Wafula Chebukati and or the rest of the Commissioners, therefore questioning its authenticity."When we receive such statements from the IEBC, Wafula Chebukati will have signed, he hasn't," said Homa Bay Woman Representative, Galdys Wanga. She noted, during an interview, that IEBC bosses could be facing serious differences, hence lack of a signature in the statement."We might be facing a situation where the commissioners did not agree and some of them decided to issue this statement," she added. Also, Alice Wahome, Kandara MP echoed Wanga's concerns, but said Kenyans should be contented with the letter, and stop rising too many questions.“There is enough information to show the statement came from the IEBC but it is good practice to sign documents as serious as this one,” she said.In response, IEBC Communications Manager Andrew Limo, another statement maybe released, with signature.
