The professionals led by former Dagoretti South MP Denis Waweru and former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru decried the emerging divisions at the IEBC which could affect October, 17 polls.

According to the former legislators, the wrangles in the electoral body risk dipping the country into political turmoil.

“IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and the commissioners should desist from unnecessary wrangles but instead concentrate on how they will conduct the presidential fresh poll in a free, fair and credible manner", Waweru said.

On her part, Wanjiru warned those trying to derail the presidential elections and asked NASA leaders to be mindful of the plight of children who are about to sit their exams.

“We cannot be in a campaign mood for the whole year. Any one calling for mass actions should also know that we also know how to call for mass action,” she said.

IEBC commissioners are in a retreat in a Naivasha Hotel to solve the wrangles ahead of the October, 17 presidential elections.
