KWS manage to save a cheetah from a mob [Photo/bbc.com] Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) managed to rescue a male cheetah from a mob in Voi sub-county after it killed five goats. According to Samuel Maina, the cheetah sneaked into his farm at night. He says the herder woke him up and informed him of the cheetah attack. Many residents showed up with weapons to kill the cheetah.

"I had to prevail upon them not to kill the cheetah. The people are angry over losing dozens of their livestock to wild animals in the past," he said. After failing to find a way out the cheetah attempted to escape over the fence but failed. KWS rangers showed up and later managed to apprehend the cheetah.
