Nakuru Woman Representative Liza Chelule has hit out at men for ‘abandoning’ the boy child.
Speaking in Nakuru, Chelule said so much focus has been put on the girl child but men have forgotten to support their sons.
“The gap between the boys and the girls is becoming bigger because the girl is progressing…and I want to congratulate them for that. But let us not look at the girls alone. It is the responsibility of a father to look at the affairs of the son. You have abandoned this role, go back to sons, we need to mentor them,” Chelule said.
Chelule spoke on Sunday during the awarding of Sh60 million for women groups in the county.
The Woman Rep told women not to be ‘so tough ‘on the boy child saying they are facing many frustrations in life due to the paradigm shift being witnessed in society today.
