Chemelil Sugar FC has appointed former Agro Chemicals FC, Muhoroni Youth and Western Stima coach Patrick Odhiambo as the new head coach. Odhiambo was the assistant head coach at Western Stima before he was dismissed by the team's management on the grounds that the team was struggling with relegation. He will be replacing Juma Abadallah who left the millers side at the end of the 2017 Kenya Premier League."Odhiambo is our new coach. He was officially handed his appointment letter on 24th December and will report to work on Tuesday 2 January 2018," an official of the club confirmed as reported by Futaa.comCoach Odhiambo was a player at Chemelil Sugar FC before venturing into becoming the coach. He will be assisted by Charles Odero. The millers finished fourteenth with 39 points in the KPL table topped by the Green Army, Gor Mahia.

Coach Mohaa of Mombasa based Modern Coast Rangers also left the club to join KPL side Wazito FC as the assistant head coach. Rangers secretary general Ferdinand Ogot general confirmed the move saying that they freed him for greener pastures.
