The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission has been blamed for the rise in corruption in the country.
Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno said the body had failed in its mandate ti fight graft in the country.
Mr Chemno wo spoke during celebrations to mark Jamhuri Day at 64 stadium in Eldoret said corruption impeded the realisation of development in the country.
Chemno said unless Kenyans join hands in the fight against graft, the war against the vice will not be won.
He said that the anti corruption commission should be disbanded and new commissioners appointed for it to be effective in the fight against corruption.
"If the President wants the fight against corruption to be effective, all commissioners should be shown the door," he said on Saturday.
