Uasin Gishu deputy governor Daniel Chemno has decried the recent chaos witnessed in the country saying they are a big blow to the country's economic growth.Speaking in an interview with KTN News on Thursday, Chemno urged the National Super Alliance (Nasa) whose supporters have been carrying out the said demos to accept the Supreme Court verdict that upheld president Uhuru Kenyatta's victory and to desist from holding the protests."The business environment is being made difficult by threats to business people being done by opposition followers and that is not good for business. Remember each county wants to attract investors and in doing so you must give an environment where people can do their things without their businesses being interrupted. So by letting your followers go into the streets you endanger investment and it will be very difficult to call for a foreign investor to come in when the local investors are not comfortable," he said.He added that the chaos has also deterred investors from coming into the country for fear of being targeted. The deputy governor asked leaders across the political divide to tame their followers saying they were sending a wrong picture about the country to the world.
